Ask your hotel or resort to already give you an indication if they can book you a slot for the underground river tour.The other option for the UGR is to pre-book a regular UGR day tour thru Palawandays, costing P1740, and they will collect you from your hotel between 7:30am and 8:30am, and when the tour is over, on the way back to PPS you ask the driver to drop you at the San Jose bus terminal so you can catch one of the shuttle vans going to El Nido.Another cheaper alternative may be to book a pickup tour with Palawandays directly from Sabang, costing P1440, where their tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Sabang between 9.45am and 10.45am to do the UGR tour, and when you have finished the UGR tour, you then find one of the shuttle vans that will take you to El Nido, just ask at the tourism office in Sabang where to locate the vans.Be aware that for both options 1 & 2, the van trip to El Nido from PPS or Sabang is approx 5.5 hours, so you may not arrive in El Nido until some time in the evening.Option 3.

BUT, be aware the slots are very limited and often get fully booked many months ahead of time. Please be advised that you will be required to wait for your slot and this can sometimes be from 1 hour to 2 hours. I believe you need to arrive by 9-10am to have a chance of making an UGR river same day, but most vans leave PP around 8-8:30am for the UGR tours. . This way you can either be the first in the morning or the last in the evening. Think food, language, customs, religions, mode of transport. Many agencies offer the tour from Puerto Princesa (around 2k per person), but it’s also really easy to go on your own and plan a DIY Underground River tour.
